THE LIBRARIAN HAS PRESENTS!

She's baaaaaack. Back from her Christmas vacation and loaded with presents for everyone. And, true to her promise in her last message, she has the information on the number of titles listed in the Library of Congress that have the name "L. Ron Hubbard" on them, but also have text in them authored by "Church of Scientology International, employer for hire." Almost beyond belief, she has found 928, and she lists some examples. This is the first in a series of six "presents" messages.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, ARSCC!

<Bweeeee! Rak-a-rak-a-rak-a-rak!>

Goodness! when I twirl this noisemaker, I just jiggle *everywhere*!
Let me put this thing *down* and hand out my *late* Christmas
presents.

I hope you all had as merry a Christmas as I did. Sorry the ARSCC
Chimerical Library was closed, but even your hard-working Librarian
needs a vacation sometimes. Well, I'm BACK now, fiestier than ever,
and with *lots* of goodies!

I have presents I'm sending to some of you separately, but here is my
present to the *whole* ARSCC.

Remember, just before I left for vacation, I was going to see how
*many* titles were listed in the Library of Congress with the author
being "Church of Scientology International, employer for hire?"
Well--Ta Da! Here's your present!

No, it's *not* a big-screen TV, silly--I can't afford that! I *know*
it's big! Well, open it!

<rip, tear, scruffle, rip>

That's right!! 928 titles authored by "Church of Scientology
International, employer for hire!" Don't you just *love* it! Look, it
even has "DIANETICS: THE MODERN SCIENCE OF MENTAL HEALTH" on it with
the trademark "L. Ron Hubbard" in the title.

Well, sweeties, got to run. I know you'll know how to put this to good
use.

I've got to pick up just *oodles* of champagne for the ARSCC
Chimerical Library's New Year's party, and I have to find that
*elusive* Bob Minton and get him to give me 10 or 12 thou for the
champagne and noise-maker fund.

Now, I'm not going to list *all* 928 titles right now, but here are
some of them.

Have fun! Print them out on colored paper, and cut it up for confetti
to bring to the party!

Oh, and there's more where *those* came from. Just *ga-zillions* of
dollars worth of books and things sold using L. Ron Hubbard's name.
Well, Happy New Year! <Bweeeee! Rak-a-rak-a-rak-a-rak!>

--<The ARSCC Librarian>

P.S. Thank you all for the *sweet* Christmas presents you sent. My Mom
always said, "A girl can't have too many lacy, frilly, scandalous
underthings." But, my *goodness,* now I have to get a second
*dresser*!

P.P.S. What's up with all these *edible* thingies? And the ones with
holes in them where I never would have expected holes to be? Mom never
told me about *these* kinds of things. Oh, well--New Year's Eve is
coming up...

P.P.P.S. Bob, what a *generous* Christmas bonus you gave me! I was
happy with the original $10 mil. You didn't have to do *this*! Heck, I
can get to be a *Patron* at this rate. I'll just tuck it in my
bra...oops! I *knew* I forgot *something* today!

The ARSCC, like its bouncy, jouncy, jiggling, giggling Librarian, does
